The Logmetry BlueprintPhase 03
Remediation at the speed of AI. The fix arrives as a pull request.
The agents that triage your alerts connect to your repositories and your ticketing. For the errors they find in security, observability or your applications, they open a pull request on your code, attached to the ServiceNow ticket or sent to the owning team, and a person approves it.
What gets built
- Agents connected to your repositories and your ticketing
- Pull requests for the errors they find in security, observability and your applications
- Each fix attached to the ServiceNow ticket, or sent to the owning team
- Your pipeline tests it and a person approves it before it merges
The gate
Comes after AI triage is working your alerts. The agent never changes production on its own: a person approves every pull request.
01The loop
Find it, fix it, review it, ship it
The alert fires, the agent investigates on the clean Lake, finds the cause, writes the correction on your code and opens a pull request attached to the ticket. A person approves it, your pipeline tests it, and the merge ships it.
Triage tells you what happened. Remediation closes the loop: the same agent that found the cause writes the change in the repository that owns it, whether that is a security policy, a service configuration or the application code a trace pointed to, and links the pull request into the ticket your service desk already opened.
When it is not confident, it does not touch the code: the finding still lands in the ticket and a person takes it from there. Either way the human is the gate, every fix is a commit with an author and a reason, and the playbooks sharpen with every pass.
02Where the fixes land
Pull requests on your code, wherever the error is
Security, observability or the application itself: the agent opens the change where it belongs, for the team that owns it.
Security
The rule or policy that let it through
A firewall rule, an identity policy, a missing detection, a cloud setting left open. The agent proposes the change in the repository that owns it.
Observability
The setting behind the noise or the outage
An alert threshold, a misconfigured service, a log level flooding the pipeline, a health check that never fired.
Applications
The code path the trace pointed to
The error the trace and the logs agree on, with the fix opened against your application repository for the owning team.
03Questions
Asked about remediation
Does the agent change production on its own?
Never. The agent writes the correction and opens a pull request on your repository, attached to the ticket. A person on your team approves it, your pipeline tests it, and the merge is what changes anything. When the agent is not confident, it does not touch the code: the finding lands in the ticket and a person takes it from there.
What can it fix?
Whatever lives as code or configuration in your repositories: the application change a trace pointed to, a firewall or identity policy, a detection rule, an infrastructure setting, an alert threshold, a noisy log level. Where something is not in code yet, the agent writes its finding into the ticket instead.
Why does remediation come before collection and the footprint?
Because it is where AI pays back fastest once the data is clean and the alerts are being worked. The foundation and AI triage give the agent the data and the findings. Remediation closes the loop on them. Moving collection to an open standard and shrinking the per-node tools comes after, in Phase 04.
